Summary

MultiTab Print does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data to its developer. Selected page content is processed locally in the browser to prepare a print document.

Public store editions

  • The tab selector reads open-tab titles and addresses so the user can choose tabs. Only after the user starts a print job and approves any required website access does the extension read the selected tabs' visible document content, styles and printable resources.
  • The extension assembles that material into a local print preview. For PDF tabs and embedded PDFs, the browser downloads bytes from the PDF's own address, including the tab address for a top-level PDF, then renders them locally. The files are never sent to the developer or another service.
  • PDF pages are included as images with the PDF's own text placed under them, so their text stays selectable in the combined output, as HTML text does. A file larger than 50 MB, content past the 300-page job cap, blob-only content, and POST-only content may be omitted or reported.
  • Some resources that cannot be embedded may be requested again from the website that originally supplied them while the preview is open. Those requests are not sent to the MultiTab Print developer.
  • Download PDF creates the PDF inside the browser from the preview and saves it to the browser's downloads folder. To embed the images and fonts the preview shows, it reads them again from the browser cache or the website that supplied them. Nothing is uploaded. In Firefox the file is saved through the browser's downloads API (the downloads permission); the extension does not read or change other downloads or the download history.
  • The browser may remember website permissions that the user approves. The user can revoke them from the browser's extension settings.

Local storage

The extension stores print preferences, pending print requests, and a successful-job counter used to schedule optional support reminders. This information remains in the browser profile. Pending requests expire after approximately 24 hours and are removed after a successful preview. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data under normal browser behavior.

The Chrome/Edge and Firefox public editions also store review-reminder timestamps, a print-dialog-flow counter, a permanent-dismissal preference and up to 50 recent generated job identifiers for duplicate prevention. These identifiers contain no selected page titles, URLs or content. This review state is local; it is not sent to the developer or store. A completed print-dialog flow can include cancellation and is not proof that a document was printed.

Optional support links

Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera editions may show an optional, dismissible reminder after occasional successful jobs. The extension never opens a donation website automatically. If the user chooses a link, the selected provider's privacy policy applies.

Optional review links

The Chrome/Edge and Firefox public editions may show a non-blocking invitation to leave an honest store review after repeated use. The user can postpone it or permanently hide it. The extension opens its Chrome Web Store or Mozilla Add-ons reviews page only when the user clicks Leave a review; doing so also stops future review invitations. The store's own sign-in, eligibility and privacy rules apply there. The extension does not read the user's store account, rating or review and cannot confirm whether a review was submitted. No feature, reward or payment depends on reviewing. The private edition does not offer this invitation.

Local PDF files in Firefox

Firefox does not let extensions open files on your computer. When a tab shows a PDF opened from your computer, the print page asks you to choose that file with a file picker. The chosen file is read in that browser tab to build the preview and is not uploaded anywhere. Choosing Skip leaves the file out of the job.

Feedback email

The popup has a Send feedback or a suggestion link. It opens a new email in your own mail app, addressed to the developer, with the extension version and edition in the subject. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. If you do, the developer receives what you wrote and your email address, and uses them only to reply and improve the extension.

Setup guide

A fresh public Chrome/Edge or Firefox installation opens a bundled, offline setup guide. Updates and browser startup do not open it automatically. Guide assets are local; external documentation links open only when clicked. The guide does not request or enable permissions.

Permissions

  • tabs lists tabs, shows their titles and site names, and identifies the tabs the user selects.
  • scripting reads printable content only when the user starts a public-edition print job.
  • storage keeps local settings, pending jobs, and reminder state.
  • contextMenus adds the tab-strip print command.
  • Optional website access is requested the first time the user prints. The Chrome, Edge, and Firefox editions ask once for all websites so they do not prompt again. In every edition, page content is read only from tabs the user selects and only after the user starts a print job.

No analytics or remote code

MultiTab Print contains no analytics SDK, tracking pixel, advertising network, developer account system, or remote executable code.

Limited Use

MultiTab Print's use of information received from browser APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Tab information and selected page content are used only to provide the user-requested printing workflow. They are not sold, used for advertising or credit decisions, or sent to the developer for human review.

Questions and changes

Questions can be sent through the support contact on the extension's official store listing, or by email to chrisarlingtonwork@gmail.com. Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date.

This website

This section covers the website printalltabs.com, not the extension. The site is static and measures visits with two tools:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without tracking individuals.
  • Google Analytics reports pages viewed, how visitors arrived (for example from a search engine) and clicks on store links. It sets first-party cookies (_ga) so returning visits are counted once. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it stores no cookies. Google Signals, advertising features and ad personalization are off for everyone. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; you can block it with any content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps server logs under its own privacy policy.
